The Cochin Chamber of Commerce and Industry, in collaboration with the Quality Council of India, New Delhi organized a one day programme on Friday, 15th July 2016 at Hotel Abad Plaza, M.G Road. The Seminar was on Practical Risk Assessment as per ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System . The Programme aimed to provide an understanding of ISO 9001:2015 and also to cover Practical Risk Assessment Tools and Techniques. Mr. C.S Kartha, President of The Cochin Chamber of Commerce and Industry delivered the Welcome Address. The speakers Mr. AvikMitra and Mr. Amit Singh, introduced themselves. Mr. AvikMitra works as the Sr. Advisor of National Board for Quality Promotion, Quality Council of India. He is also a visiting faculty in a leading Management School. Mr. Amit Singhworks as the Assistant Director of Quality Council of India. He did the session introduction. The session started with an introduction to QMS. This included defining the key terms,fundamentals, definitions, salient features of ISO 9001:2015 and the seven Quality management principles. Mr. AvikMitra gave an excellent introduction to the seminar and an overview of ISO. He discussed not only the ISO 9001:2015, but also emphasised the Practical Risk Assessment Tools and Techniques. Mr. Avik Mitra concluded the seminar by 4.30 after explaining the details of ISO 9001:2015 and their Risk Assessment Tools and Techniques. Some of the participants shared their feedback and they conveyed their gratitude to the Chamber and the QCI for arranging such a program which helped them understand the details of the ISO standards. Participation certificates were awarded to all 60 participants.
