With the objective of creating awareness about the Competition Law among the business community in Cochin, the Cochin Chamber of Commerce and Industry, together with Federation of Indian Micro and Small and Medium Enterprises (FISME) and Hindustan Unilever Ltd. (HUL) organised an awareness programme in Cochin on 31st July 2014 at 4:30pm in the Chamber Hall. Mr.C.P.Mammen,President,CCCI delivered the welcome address. Mr.Amit Bhasin, Deputy Company Secretary, HUL was the key speaker.He spoke on the following areas; A brief on the Competition Regime in India and its importance. Anti-Competitive Agreements Cartel and Information Exchange Abuse of Dominance Participation in Trade Association and Industry Bodies Importance of Competition Complaint Culture Case Studies Discussion Your Rights and Obligations under the Competition Regime Mr.Mukesh Kalra,Joint Secretary,FISME also spoke on the occasion. Members of the Chamber and other delegates representing various business sectors attended the programme. The meeting ended at 6pm.
