Visit of the Hon'ble British MP Mr. Bob Blackman to the Cochin Chamber

The Cochin Chamber of Commerce & Industry hosted British Member of Parliament of Mr. Bob Blackman on the 21st of February, 2019 in the Chamber Conference Hall, Willingdon Island.

Mr. Blackman visited the Chamber to discuss business possibilities, especially in the field of healthcare - Ayurveda. Brexit and its implications to the outside world were also part of the discussions.

Mr. V. Venugopal, President of the Cochin Chamber welcomed Mr. Blackman to the Chamber.

Mr. Blackman spoke about Brexit and its importance for the future of Great Britain. He outlined the pros and cons of being in the EU and the benefits his country will attain on leaving the European Union.  He also spoke about immigration rules and listened to suggestions from the members present to ease the difficulties being faced currently.  He agreed to take up the issues mentioned with his Government on his return.

Concluding the meeting the President, Mr. V. Venugopal, presented a memento to Mr. Blackman.
