The Cochin Chamber in association with the Income Tax Department, Kochi, organised a one-hour interactive session on: Awareness regarding filing of Income Tax Returns, with special emphasis on the recent changes. The programme was held on Thursday the 20th of July 2017 from 4 p.m to 5 p.m at the Chamber Hall, Willingdon Island, Cochin- 3. The programme was headed by officers from the Income Tax Department, Range-1, Ernakulam, under which jurisdiction the non-corporate assesses with Business/profession falls. The focus of the programme was to educate tax payers about the importance of filing of returns on time at the specified dates in view of some mandatory provisions of Act coming into effect. The meeting was a very interactive one.
