The Cochin Chamber of Commerce & Industry in association with the Ernakulam Branch SIRC of Chartered Accountants of India organised this Workshop on Saturday, 23rd of January 2016 at the Gokulam Park Convention Centre, Kaloor, Cochin-17. Mr. C.S Kartha, President - CCCI, welcomed the gathering. Mr. R. Balagopal, Chairman - ICAI - Cochin Chapter, introduced the subject and the speakers at the Workshop. At the first Session, Mr. P.M Veeramani spoke about the New Reporting Requirements Under the Income Tax Law. The Second Session was on the Changes in Payment of Bonus Act 2015, the Provident Fund Act, the ESI Act and the Negotiable Instruments Act. The changes in these Acts were explained by Adv. C B Mukundan of NORMS Management Associates. Understanding these new changes and implementing them effectively is imperative for the smooth functioning of Businesses. The Workshop was aimed at giving the participants an insight into what is expected of them in the daily conduct of their businesses. The programme was attended by around 150 participants.
