Seminar on Goods and Services Tax - The Last Mile
The Cochin Chamber of Commerce & Industry is organising a One Day Seminar on “Goods & Services Tax – The Last Mile” from 9.00 a.m. to 5.30 p.m. on Friday, 23rd June 2017 at The Mercy Hotel, M.G. Road, Ravipuram, Ernakulam.
The 1st of July 2017 will be a red letter day in the history of Indirect Taxation in the country. With the introduction of the Goods & Services Tax, the manner in which Indirect Taxes are handled by businesses in the country will be completely altered. Hence it is essential that various provisions of the new law are understood and discussed by all those who are involved in indirect tax matters.
The one day programme that we are organising will be a follow up on the one that we had conducted in April this year and will discuss in detail the various provisions contained in the GST legislation as it stands today along with the steps that are to be taken by trade and industry to transition smoothly to the new tax regime.
This Seminar is aimed at ensuring that each participant will leave with enriched knowledge of this new tax legislation not only theoretically but also practically. An understanding of the subject will help the participants in protecting the interest of their respective organization from any untoward exposure at the time of transition.
The programme will also comprise a session on the IT preparedness of businesses vis-à-vis this momentous change.
